Procedure for Canon Printer Hardware Setup (Windows or Mac OS)

You may proceed to printing, scanning, or

copying your documents after you have the

printer installed in your home. You can follow

the below-mentioned steps to set up the

hardware on your Windows or Mac device.

  1. Unpack your printer device.

  2. Put it at a location, which is closer to your

  4. from day-to-day movements.

  5. Power on your printer by connecting it

  6. electrically.

  7. You will recognize a power button located at the

  8. front of your printing device. Turn it on to start the device.

  9. If the power light is on, your device is good to go.

  11. The printer then must be loaded with a printer tray to facilitate the movement of papers.

  12. Add some papers. Primarily people use A-4 sized papers in most of the requirements.

Network Setup

Once your device gets connected to Wi-Fi, click on "OK."

Procedure for Canon Printer Wireless Activation

If you have followed the instructions of the previous section carefully, then your hardware is installed and ready to go. However, it would be best if you initiated the network setup of your printing device to have it working through your system.

  1. Take a note of the WPS details, which would

  2. be available in the manual guide available in

  3. your package.

  4. Once the device is on, press and hold the

  5. "Wi-Fi" key available on it.

  6. Once you see the blue color appearing on the

  7. Wi-Fi, proceed to hit the WPS button.

  8. Once you press the WPS button on your

  9. printing device, you must quickly hit the WPS

  10. button on your router. The duration between

  11. the two activities should not be more than two

  12. minutes at the most.

  13. Establish a successful connection between

  14. your printing device and Wi-Fi. To check that,

  15. check the wireless lights. In the case of a

  16. steady connection, the lights will illuminate steadily.

  17. Now, you must arrange the printer network systems.

  18. Put your white sheet or A-4 size sheets in the printer tray.

  19. You may perform the printing operations (Ctrl+P and so on) to see if the network page is getting printed.

  20. At the concluding step, you need to print a page (test page) to check whether the connection between the device or the Wi-Fi router was momentary or solid.

  21. You may also check whether a color page is getting printed or not. To do that, you must have colored Cartridges.
